Finishing Touches

Yesterday, we printed out our timelines...

And put on the finishing touches:)

Reflecting

Everyday we reflect and write in our reflection journals.
Here are two of our journals...
In the journals we pen down our thoughts, concerns, goals, etc...for exhibition. This way we will be able to look back, see, and understand the process that occurred throughout the exhibition.

"Last time I wrote about my group's meeting with our mentor"
"On Monday I wrote about finishing my explanation and poster."

"On the 12th of March I wrote about having to contact our basketball coach and mentor."

Time Management

Throughout this week Mrs. Watts has given us big chunks of time to work independently on our timelines. Unfortunately, many of us have not been managing our time. Mrs. Watts was very disappointed and hopes we will learn to use class time better to produce quality, A+ work!

We've been working very hard on our timeline! As a class we selected Ayla, Eric, and Nor to represent us in asking Mr. Anders for funds.. to buy our exhibition T shirts! We also asked Mrs. Mascha to help us order the shirts. Mission accomplished...the t shirts should be arriving soon:)

One Busy Afternoon

We've had one, busy afternoon working away on power-points, written posters, planning, animation, book reviews, research, and report writing! Check out some snap shots of us working...

Ayla working on her survey with classroom participants

Max was making a graph and Luis was writing his report

Veronica worked on her poster and Isabel worked on her powerpoint
Ms. Katya helping us with bits and pieces

Ms. Watts meeting with us to discuss the process and help us make connections

Storeroom Surprises

Today Ms. Sima couldn't come:(
This meant we had to take art action on our own. We decided to go downstairs to the storage room and look for materials to help us with exhibition. We ended up finding loads of great material! Among our treasured finds: colored poster paper...art component here we come!

Kasper asks: What is your goal for exhibition?

T- shirt Thinking Thoughts

Our Final Logo!

Independent Connections

Today we worked individually on our topics. We were busy with a variety of activities.... from making Venn diagrams to songwriting to scheduling interviews! We took turns telling Mrs. Watts what we were working on and how it connects to our central idea.

Coming soon an in depth look at our t shirt logo, the thoughts behind the design, and what it looks like! Thanks for the great idea Mrs. Naylor!

Busy Bees

The last three days we have been busy researching, planning, and creating our first drafts to answer our 10 questions. We are moving through the inquiry cycle! Mrs. Watts has been smiling and is quite happy with our work:)

Dear Potential Mentor....

Last Friday we wrote letters asking some to be our mentors. Each group will have one mentor. A mentor will help guide and lead us towards our central idea. We will meet our mentors for updates!

Planning and Inquiring

The last two days we have been planning different aspects of the exhibition program...

In Norwegian we started researching for our millennium timeline.

We have also been working on the lines of inquiry...

Coming soon: work on the music component! Stay tuned:)

Its T-shirt time!

Everyone had to design a logo for our T-shirts. After we presented our work to the class...

After much deliberation we voted on 4 designs

The creators of the 4 designs formed our design team. They are currently at work on our final logo!

Topics and Teams

We have broken up into groups and selected our topics!

Getting Started...

Choosing our central idea wasn't easy. We had to brainstorm, discuss, reflect, and think out of the box!
And the Central Idea is: The Millennium society shall upgrade our lifestyle by revolutionizing ideas from the past

How did I think of my 10 Questions?
